This comprehensive one-day course is designed for engineers, chemists, scientists, product managers and technicians from tire manufacturers and their reinforcement suppliers, who have a special interest in tire reinforcement design, manufacturing and RAD/QA material laboratory testing.
It provides an introductory overview of tire construction and components, the diversity of reinforcement material types, their construction and manufacturing, specific properties and static/fatigue testing methods for the planned tire component and field of application. Generic steel and textile cord material properties are also introduced.

Industry experts from leading reinforcement manufacturers will give in-depth presentations on steel cord, polyamide, polyester, rayon and aramid reinforcement. The latest product innovations for higher grades, eco-friendly manufacturing and new, sustainable strategies and alternatives will be discussed. In all the lectures, the requirements for the reinforcement material for the final tire application and components will be explained in detail.
The experts will also explain the specific static and fatigue testing methods used to validate their materials relevant to the final tire application. A separate lecture will introduce good material fatigue testing practice and provide an overview of the equipment for this industry.
With interactive Q&As after each lecture, and collegial interaction with and between the experts on each product, attendees will obtain a very good understanding of the real differentiating aspects and preferred application fields for each reinforcement material.
Ideal for practicing product engineers, chemists and scientists with a Bachelor or Master of Science background, concerned with tire reinforcement:
Upon completion, participants will receive an attendee certificate from IOM3 (Institute of Material, Minerals & Mining), confirming their refreshed expertise in tire reinforcement.
