Philippe has an MSc in mechanical engineering from KUL University of Leuven and has spent his whole career in R&D of high-dynamic machine development. He was the chief mechanical engineer in the R&D department at Picanol weaving machines before founding the Bogimac engineering company with his wife in 1991.Presentation
New generation single-axis high cycle fatigue testing on simultaneously high load-stroke-speed
Single-axis reciprocating fatigue testing of flexible materials is mostly driven by medium electronics or heavy hydraulics. Combination on load-stroke-speed is easy, but limited by actuator power. Natural frequency low power system obtains nearly lossless cyclic energy conversion for highest efficiency. But easy configuration, startup run at low speed or adaptive speed control are problematic.Bogimac presents innovative LHC concept combining : high overall performance, long sample length, adaptive control and eco-friendly operation.A paradigm change on clamp design achieves grip at low inertia. Bogimac LHC-24k8 runs to combined 30Hz 24800N 20mm-stroke on wirerod, wire, OTR cord, reinforced belt & rope.
