Jacob Peled

Jacob Peled is the founder and executive chairman of the Pelmar Group of companies, headquartered in Israel. For the last 50 years, the Pelmar Group has focused on technology, equipment, engineering and promotion related to the tire and rubber industry. Peled has focused on the subjects of sustainability and particularly the recycling of both technical rubber products and tires. A graduate of Tel Aviv University and post-graduate of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Peled is an executive board member of the Retread Tire Association (RTA) and a member of the Rubber Division, American Chemical Society and several other world organizations.

Combination of silence and sealants – the future of PCR

With the fast development in recent years of electric vehicles, the tire industry has had to cope with new requirements, which relate mainly to tires being more silent and resistant to punctures. Previously, only one of the above parameters was employed in various technologies. In recent years it became necessary to combine the two technologies to obtain a tire that will not only be safer and quieter but also easier to handle and able to maintain the lowest rolling resistance and abrasion rate.
