Tire Efficiency Tester
ZF

ZF Test Systems will display its newly launched tire test bench – the Tire Efficiency Tester (TET). The main task of the TET is to determine the energy efficiency and rolling resistance of a tire. Without any impact on measurement accuracy, attention has been paid to compact and simple design in all areas.
There are no hydraulics on the test bench – 100% electric drives are used. This reduces energy requirements and significantly reduces maintenance.

When the drum is braked, the energy generated is stored and fed back into the system. An important application of this machine will be safeguarding the label value in tire production. Using the ISO 28580 test procedure, the rolling resistance coefficient can be continuously safeguarded in tire production in a cost-efficient manner. The high measurement quality also qualifies the TET for use in development centers. All other established test standards are optionally available.
The TET has a drum size of 2m. It can generate a wheel load of 20kN and test tires at up to 250km/h. Tires up to 1m in diameter can be tested. In addition, a climate cabin or a tire pressure control system can be ordered.
