Adam McCarthy

Dr Adam McCarthy leads strategy and operations for the European Tyre and Rubber Manufacturers’ Association (ETRMA). Before joining ETRMA, Adam served as president of the Cobalt Institute, the global association representing the cobalt value chain. At the institute he was responsible for the reorganization and refocusing of the association. Adam started his career in the European Commission and later the European Parliament before moving to the private sector, where he has worked in government affairs and public policy positions across a range of companies and sectors, mainly focusing on energy, environment and transportation issues. Adam holds a PhD in comparative European politics from the University of Manchester (UK) and is a dual Belgian/British national.
