Michelin is convinced that tomorrow everything will be sustainable. Michelin research centers are focusing on key levers to significantly reduce the environmental impact of tires. Tires with renewable/recycled material – without compromising performance – are part of this exciting challenge. Ensuring that clear and indisputable environmental messages are delivered remains a challenge. Different approaches are used in various industries guaranteeing more or less connection with the true composition of the product. In this presentation, Michelin proposes to share the methodology developed to obtain a third-party certification of the latest demonstrator tire composition with 75% renewable/recycled material rate.
