Reinforcement – developments in performance, sustainability, materials and manufacturing
Europe is effectively banning formaldehyde and other CMR substances whenever substitution is technically feasible. Today, replacing RFL is possible: over 100 million tires have already validated Michelin ResiCare technology in tire cords across all major tire makers. Michelin ResiCare, a Michelin Group entity, introduces its araminolic resins innovation, including Resi4 TEX, a high-performance resin for textile dipped fabrics in tires, free of formaldehyde and resorcinol. Anticipating EU directives on SVHC* replacement, this solution ensures business continuity while paving the way for perennial chemistry and safer products for human health and the environment.
