Following Michelin's sustainable roadmap, technologies taken from the motorsport demonstrator tire have been applied to the official tires used in top-level Endurance racing categories. The introduction of 50% renewable and recycled materials in tire design is now a reality in race conditions and at an industrial scale. The industrial challenges have been overcome. Key performance aspects, such as warm-up efficiency, consistency and wear resistance, have also been enhanced, thus significantly reducing the lifecycle assessment score of Michelin tires. This great achievement is based on technologies deployable for all tires: a closer step from track to street!
