Influence of high-frequency vibration generated during wear on particle emissions

04 Mar 2026
Room 3
Evolving issues from the new Euro 7 standards and TRWP mitigation
A high-frequency vibration was observed during a laboratory wear test. The half-wavelength of this vibration was comparable to the size of the wear debris, indicating a causal relationship between the vibration frequency and wear resistance. The change in load indicated that the vibration originated from the natural frequency of the rubber. Consequently, an increase in vibration frequency led to an increase in particle size.
  • High frequency vibration during tire wear
  • Tire wear particles emission
  • Natural frequency of rubber
