Advanced modeling, simulation, analysis, test and development - session 2
This study investigates the influence of geometric parameters – specifically belt angles and tire shape – on the performance of agricultural tires for very low-pressure (VF) and high-torque applications. Through the FEM technique, the challenges of modeling large deformations and the complex tire geometries were surpassed, while focusing on one of the largest agricultural tires currently in production, keeping a lean element distribution strategy to avoid compromise in simulation performance. A key outcome was the development of a design of experiments framework that offers insights for both manufacturing and R&D teams, enabling more efficient tire development and performance tuning.
