The latest generation of functionalized SSBR and Li-BR is enabling major advances in tire performance. Functionalized SSBR continues to be the backbone of tread technology, offering improved wet grip, abrasion resistance and rolling resistance. In parallel, demand for Li-BR has grown sharply, as it enhances rolling resistance, silica intake and mixing efficiency. Together, these polymers deliver complementary benefits, particularly in high-silica recipes where good dispersion is essential for winter traction and stiffness. This talk will highlight performance upgrades achievable with both functionalized SSBR and Li-BR, underlining their role as key tools for next-generation summer, winter and all-season tires.
