Process additives have evolved from general processing aids into highly targeted problem solvers. Today, tailor-made solutions address specific challenges such as silica dispersion, tack and green strength, mill release or rubber-metal stickiness. As tire performance demands increase, compounds are pushed to extremes – extreme silica, extreme resin, leading to extreme stickiness – all driving severe processing issues rooted in unwanted compound-to-metal adhesion. This presentation introduces a new functional additive technology enabling extremely optimized mixer and mill release for extreme silica-filled, resin-rich compounds, while preserving the key advantages of superior silica dispersion, improved flow behavior, enhanced green strength and maximum tire property performance.
