Materials, chemicals and related processes – developments and innovations - session 3
As the tire industry embraces sustainable mobility, reinforcement materials must meet both performance and environmental demands. This presentation showcases BKT Carbon’s innovative approach to carbon black, integrating circular feedstocks with CBFS through advanced process control. The resulting grades are validated via DMA, RPA, abrasion and thermal testing, demonstrating strong reinforcement across tire zones. Lifecycle assessment reveals significant reductions in emissions and resource use, aligning with REACH and OEM sustainability goals. This work marks a pivotal step toward circular tire manufacturing, where material innovation drives environmental responsibility without compromising technical excellence.
- Scalable innovation for the tire industry
- Challenges of conventional carbon black production
- How circular feedstocks can be integrated into carbon black manufacturing
- Environmental benefits of sustainable carbon black
