Dr Sven Thiele is senior R&D leader, process and product development SSBR. He earned his PhD in chemistry from Westfälische Wilhelms University in Münster, Germany. His awards include the 2011 IQ Innovation Award in the Chemistry/Plastics category, the 2015 DKG Product Award, the 2017 Hugo Junkers Award for Best Product Development and the 2024 IISRP Technical Award. Prior to joining Synthos, Thiele held various R&D positions at Trinseo and Dow from 2000 to 2021 and at DSM from 1997 to 1999.
