Dr Saikat Das Gupta has a PhD in rubber chemistry and is an expert in material characterization. He currently works at the HASETRI Indian research organization, working in the field of environment and sustainability on test method development. He co-authored 'Reverse Engineering: a Tool for the Rubber Industry', owns various patents and has published technical articles in a number of journals.
