Doctor of natural sciences, Pavel Ignatyev is an expert in contact and friction physics with over a decade of experience at Continental Tires Germany. Since 2019, he has served as principal research engineer in the physics of grip and wear, following earlier roles as a researcher in the same field. He holds a doctorate from Martin Luther University, Halle-Wittenberg and completed postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics. His academic foundation includes physics studies at Moscow State University and specialized training in rubber technology at Leibniz University, Hannover and the German Institute of Rubber Technology.
