Joseph is a ride and handling simulation engineer with 25 years of experience at Mercedes-Benz in Sindelfingen, Germany. His work focuses on the early design-stage evaluation of vehicle performance against development targets using digital prototypes. Accurate tire models are essential for predictive vehicle simulations, and he has developed extensive expertise in understanding how tire behavior influences vehicle performance, ride comfort and handling stability. His experience includes the analysis of measured tire data and the development of tire simulation models. He is particularly interested in translating experimental insights into simulation capabilities and advancing tire models through the incorporation of new physical effects.
