Frank Schmerwitz

senior test engineer, Continental Reifen Deutschland GmbH
Frank Schmerwitz studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Dortmund and earned his Ph.D. at the University of Halle-Merseburg. After working as a CAE/FEM Computation Engineer at ContiTech AG, he joined Continental AG in 2007 as a Senior Test Engineer, where he develops advanced testing methodologies and validation strategies for material wear and tire emissions. Since 2024, he has been part of the research pillar ‘Emission Group’ within a tire industry project.
