THE FRICTION AND TRIBOLOGY GROUP deals with friction mechanisms especially of tire/road contacts and dynamic seal contacts. We are specialized in experimental
identification
of friction mechanisms and their quantification. Our strength is the
design
and development as well as the setup and operation of
application-specific test rigs. Our core competences further include the
modelling and simulation of dynamic systems with friction contacts.
Besides FEM simulations, we also use analytical minimal models and numerical multibody simulations.
