High Force DMA+ Series
Dyna+ software makes possible an extended variety of DMA tests, in order to follow up the dependence of the material viscoelastic properties to many parameters. Using the optional Fatigue module of Dyna+ software, the testing capabilities can be enlarged to enhanced fatigue testing, Heat Build-Up testing, or crack growth testing.

Advanced tests to measure elastomer cracking
Resistance to fatigue, ageing and crack growth are major issues for rubber like materials.
Current commercial methods for crack growth testing have been restricted to time to failure test.
Since 1999, cooperation with leaders of the Tire industry led Metravib to propose various customized testing machines dedicated to crack growth testing.
Based on this extensive experience, we developed a Fatigue Crack Growth Testing Module to bring to rubber industry and research a quantitative and productive advanced testing instrument.
Temperature increase in rubber is the principal cause of degradation and can lead to fatigue cracking.
For rubber goods (tire, belts, vibration mounts …) Heat Build Up (HBU) is part of a maker’s design specifications that have to be checked and well controlled.
Heat Build Up module is a major add-on to the DMA+ series to analyze accurately rubber compounds’ response to repeated mechanical excitation under multiple parameters and advanced testing conditions.
Xpander is a unique cost-effective solution to address the increasing throughput requirement of testing laboratories. Xpander is an automated specimen handling system dedicated to the DMA+ series Dynamic Mechanical Analyzers. Xpander allows DMA test campaigns to run continuously around the clock and autonomously without any operator intervention. Xpander’s flexibility makes possible to accommodate with material specimens of various shapes and sizes. As a pioneer in the automation of dynamic testing, we have been supplying the leaders of the rubber and tire industries with robust automated DMA for more than 20 years.
