About recycled steel reinforcement at Michelin

Michelin is declining its ambition to use renewable and recycled materials, reduce CO2 emissions and recycle its product to all the raw materials used in tires. For its steel cord and bead wire Michelin is converting its raw material supply to steel made on Electric Arc Furnace with high percentage of scrap feedstock. To overcome technical and supply challenges related to this feedstock and increase the recycling of End of Life tire Michelin is developing a closed loop approach of steel for tire reinforcement purpose. Michelin will present some promising results and perspective about this approach.
