Mr. Vivek Purohit is working as Genaeral manager [R&D, CEAT Limited] has more than 14 years of experience in tyre compound & raw material development. Currently, he is heading compound and raw material development for specialty tyres in CEAT Limited. His Expertise is in the new formulation and Raw material development for Commercial, Industrial, off the road, Agri & Specialty bias and radial tyres. His reseach work is on latex master batch, formulation design for tyres, sustainable material development for tyres etc. He is a TQM Practitioner with sound statistical knowledge as well as certified TRIZ level.

Sustainmax - Agri tyre with more than 80% sustainable material

“Sustainmax” is a high-end VF tyre with 81.0% sustainable material, designed by CEAT keeping VF tyre properties like Soil compaction, fuel efficiency, Tear resistance and load carrying capacity intact”. Sustainmax tyre designed with renewable raw materials sourced from Bio Source such as natural rubber, rice husk silica [RHS], bio-based resin, as well as recycled material such as recovered carbon black, Reclaimed rubber, and polyester from scrapped PET bottles. It is designed for delivering same load carrying capability as regular VF tyre. Additionally, tyre footprint is also similar compared to CEAT regular VF tyre, which ensure low level of soil compaction.
