Zhimin Yao

Zhimin Yao graduated from South China University of Technology. He has been engaged in tire technology research and development and raw material technology research for nearly 30 years as a senior engineer. Yao was a senior technical support manager of Red Avenue for seven years, and vice president of Wanli Tire Research Institute for five, responsible for tire design and formula development. From 2021, he has been the marketing director of Rebo, responsible for technical support and new product development.

Application of new additive silica dispersant

Green tires are gradually being accepted by the public for their comfort, safety, environmental protection and energy saving, and demand and production are increasing day by day. A large number of research results show that using silica as a reinforcing filler in tire tread rubber can significantly reduce the rolling resistance of the tire. However, as the amount of silica in the formula increases, the rubber compound mixing process becomes difficult, as well as the silica black dispersion difference. Riba New Material Technology is committed to developing new silica dispersants to help tire companies solve the problems faced by high-fill silica formulas in rubber compound mixing. This presentation introduces the mechanism of action of the new silica dispersant, its impact on the process and physical properties of the rubber compound, and relevant experimental research data.
